YEAR 10 VISIT TO SUNTRAP FIELD STUDY CENTRE

Year 10 visited the Suntrap Field Study Centre in Epping Forest on Tuesday 19 June 2018 in order to complete their GCSE Biology core practical work in the study topic of Ecosystems.

They undertook pond dipping and belt transects to evaluate the abundance and distributions of organisms in different habitats. They finished the day with an animal handling session looking at a hissing cockroach, a giant millipede, a fire salamander and a corn snake.

As you can see from the photographs they had fantastic day in Epping Forest – education really can be good fun.
