As part of their study of Ancient Egypt this term, Year 3 enjoyed the task of making their own mummy. We divided the class in half and using one of their group as a mummy body, they had only five minutes to wrap them up. They were quite successful as you can see from the pictures. They went on to find out more about the mummification process and were particularly horrified to learn that they pulled out the brain through the nostrils with a hook! We are looking forward to discovering more about mummies and other aspects of Ancient Egypt when we visit The British Museum next week along with Year 4, who are also studying this history topic.
