Sports Day

The weather was kind, the pupils were ready, and Sports Day 2022 commenced! After the long break due to Covid restrictions, it was fabulous to see the whole school back at Cricklefields Athletic Track today. The Year 10 House and Deputy Captains were amazing, and combined with a wonderful team of staff, they made the morning flow and memories were made. Pupils competed in array of events ranging from the conventional 100m, 200m, 800m to the more fun egg and spoon, skipping and sack races. The Athletic Cup was competitively contested and this year it was Valentine with 124 points who took first place, Wanstead were 2nd place with 112 and just behind them with 111 was Cranbrook. Well done to all those that took part, Mrs Lesser and I were extremely proud of you all.

This afternoon, we also held our annual staff egg and spoon race. The competitive spirit was out in force! Again, Valentine took the top spot - what a winning streak for Valentine House this year!

Such a fun morning, followed by an ice cream and popcorn extravaganza for the Preps in the playground and the Seniors went off to the Park for ice-cream and more fun and games!

A great way to bring in the end of term!
