The Children’s Book Project is a national charity that believes every child should have access to good quality, exciting and relevant books. Their aim is for every child to feel part of a wider reading community and to draw inspiration and pleasure from words and pictures. The charity aims to address book poverty and to change the statistics around book ownership.

During the last fortnight pupils and staff have been collecting books for the charity in the school library. By the time that the books were taken away in a van on Thursday 24th March over 100 books had been collected. This represents a fantastic effort by pupils and staff. I would like to thank parents for their support with this worthwhile cause and recognise the efforts of our team of librarians in co- ordinating the collection.
