Taking inspiration from our wonderful Paralympic athletes at the recent Tokyo games, our pupils spent the first week back at school learning about Paralympic sports and activities. This ranged from goal ball, seated athletic throwing events, and navigating their way through a blindfold course. The pupils experienced what it was like to have a disability and helped them to appreciate how wonderful our athletes are. These activities were extremely thought provoking and encouraged the pupils to be more open minded about how sheer determination can overcome so much, despite adversities.
