Year 6 students had the opportunity of attending a ‘Junior Citizens’ event which was run by Redbridge Police and other emergency services; in a bid to help children deal with everyday dangers. The scheme is aimed at keeping children away from crime and anti-social behaviour which and helping the children in their transition to secondary school.
The event raised our girls’ awareness of crime and other dangerous situations. Our students experienced different mock-up scenarios.
According to Tvisha: “I found the Junior Citizens trip very enjoyable because it taught us about the risks we may encounter and ways to solve then as we are getting closer to going secondary school.”
Also, Deltarose said: “I enjoyed the event because it informed us about the dangers we may face as we move around in secondary school and how to stay safe on the road, trains and water.”
