On Wednesday 31st October 2018, we (the Year 11 Charity Committee) organised an exciting Halloween event in order to raise money for our chosen charity, Young Minds. This charity is a mental health charity which specialises in youth services. The day consisted of many types of Halloween festivities; starting with the sale of Halloween treats which were kindly donated by the students and staff, along with a range of unique and fun activities from pumpkin ring toss and spider races to spooky bowling until the main event. The catwalk! Many of the costumes the girls were wearing this year were extremely creative, including the devil emoji, a zombie bride and even Ronald McDonald!
Overall, the day was a success and we are very proud to announce that we raised a grand total of £458.29! On this note, we would like to thank everyone who donated food and took part in the activities, and everyone who offered their help and support to make this event a triumph (including all the teachers who gave up their time after school to supervise our Halloween films).
