Park School for Girls has recently registered with the Eco-Schools Programme and after Easter, work will begin on getting the school accredited under the scheme. The Eco-Schools Programme is pupil-led, involving hands-on learning that gets the whole school and the wider community involved in exciting environmental projects. It empowers pupils, raises environmental awareness and improves the school environment.
An Eco Committee has been formed and they will be introducing themselves to all very soon. One of the first aims for the team is to reduce the use of disposable packaging used for drinks and lunches in the school. It would be very useful if parents and carers could arrange for their daughters to have reusable drinks bottles and lunch boxes for use after Easter.
