Creative Writing Competition

At the end of the last academic year we held the inaugural Lower School Creative Writing Competition. The competition was entered by all students in Years 7, 8 and 9 and the girls had to submit an extract from a story that they had been writing in class. The genres included: Gothic; detective; fantasy; dystopian and ghost stories.

Congratulations to Camilla (Year 9), Sofia (Year 8) and Anaya K (Year 7) who won their respective year group competitions.

Reprinted below is the extract from Sophia Sangar’s ‘A Taste of Sumac’ which won the overall prize.
