Year 10 visited the Centre of the Cell on Monday 11 June 2018 in order to consolidate their GCSE Biology studies in the topics of Cells and Genetics.
The Centre of the Cell is a science education centre based at Queen Mary, University of London. It is the first science education centre in the world to be located within working biomedical research laboratories. It is located inside a distinctive orange Pod suspended above laboratories in the Blizard Institute in Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. A second year medical student joined the group to enhance their learning experience and to answer questions about science and careers.
