Botanical Club gets off to an early start

Despite the mixed weather we have been having, the girls in our new gardening club have already got their hands dirty. Representatives from Reception to Year 6 planted daffodils to brighten up the classrooms in the first session and this week went outside to plant peas, strawberries and potatoes in the troughs as well as sowing tomato seeds. The daffodils are already going over, so the next job is for the girls to decide what to plant in the classrooms as well as choosing seeds to get going for planting out later. We will pop the daffodils in the big pots in the playground and look forward to a show of colour next spring.
