Anti-Bullying Week is an annual UK event held in the third week in November which aims to raise awareness of bullying of children and young people and to highlight ways of preventing and responding to it.
This week, Year 7 to 9 took part in a workshop about Anti-Bullying and Anti-Discrimination. The workshop was organised by a company called Stand Up Education, whose aim is to empower our pupils to think critically and stand up against all forms of hatred.
Lilian in Year 7 said “the workshop was very eye-opening because it helped people to realise that while people just say its banter it is actually bullying”
Amina in Year 8 said “it was very interesting, and it made me aware of the different scenarios of bullying”
The presentation was very informative and highlighted many issues that people have to deal with.
We are also proud to share a fantastic poem written by one of our Year 7 pupils.
