It has been a longstanding tradition at Park School that at the end of the Spring Term the girls in Year 6 choose a charity and then sell raffle tickets to raise funds for that charity. This year they chose to fund-raise for ‘WaterAid’.

We rely on everyone: parents, staff and students to bring chocolate eggs or soft toys in to school which are used as raffle prizes. Year 6 worked ‘eggstremely’ hard in their breaks selling raffle tickets. Students and staff were asked to pay £1 each for a ‘non-uniform day’ on the last day of term to boost their fundraising.

To add to the fun, we had an Easter Egg Hunt for each class. Senior School students went to Valentine’s Park for their hunt while the Prep School and Reception Class remained in school for theirs.

There was a Spring Bonnet Parade for the Prep School and some ‘eggstraordinary’ bonnets were paraded at our end of term assembly.

Year 6 raised £153.86 from raffle ticket sales/donations, £113.80 non-uniform money, making a fantastic total of £267.66 which will be donated to WaterAid.

This was a lovely way to finish the term. Well done to Year 6 and thank you to everyone for supporting them.
