As Head Teacher of Park School, I am delighted to welcome you and your family to our wonderful School
Here at Park School, we are all committed to a holistic approach to education, and we all believe in the importance of the development of each and every child as a whole person. Our expectations are high, and like you, we want the very best for all of our pupils; the ethos of putting children first underpins everything that we do.
All children are entitled to the highest quality education to enable them to achieve their full potential and we provide an environment where all children can flourish and succeed; our small class sizes enable a very personalised learning experience for each and every child. We are committed to nurturing a love of learning in all of our pupils from Reception through to Year 11 and for this to happen, we believe that learning needs to be active, creative and enjoyable. We understand that passing examinations is important, and we are very proud that we are currently ranked 6th nationally for GCSE results*, however, we want our pupils to take them in their stride, and value their learning beyond exam grades.

Thus we continually strive to nurture and grow a supportive environment which allows our children to develop the skills and habits of mind to become well rounded, emotionally resilient, inquisitive, life-long learners, who are well prepared for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of future life.
At Park School, we recognise the importance of achievement outside of the classroom too and we provide a broad range of opportunities for our pupils to take part wholeheartedly in Park School life. We encourage all pupils to challenge themselves in everything that they do, including growing their talent in sport, music and art and also develop a wide range of transferable skills and interests through clubs, activities, trips and by taking part in charitable activities. As educators, we are responsible for preparing our young people to be socially responsible citizens, with the ability to recognise and embrace diversity and alternative views. As such, tolerance, integrity, respect, courtesy and honesty are interwoven into everything we do, inside and outside of the classroom.
We would welcome the opportunity to show you around our School so that you can see ‘The Park School Way’ for yourself. We look forward to meeting you and your family. If you would like to view our latest Inspection Report, please click on the link below.
