Junior Citizens Project
JUNIOR CITIZENS PROJECT

On Wednesday, 23 June, Upper Prep went on a trip to Hargreaves Scout Camp to attend the ‘Junior Citizens Project’ organised by the Metropolitan Police.

The project aims to increase awareness of safety issues such as how to react if you are the victim of a robbery, possible dangers when using the Internet and being safe on the underground. Various scenarios were created to demonstrate how to be safe when using public transport, stranger awareness, first aid, how to contact the emergency services, recycling, mobile ‘phone use and awareness of the dangers of illegal drugs. 

The winning team each received a medal and all the children who attended had the opportunity to have their photo taken for their Oyster Card.
