Our Preps found their 'green fingers' and raised the grand sum of £543.10p in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care Charity.
Each girl received her own pot and daffodil bulb to plant between September and November and are learning how to care for their growing shoots until they blossom into beautiful daffodils in spring.
Throughout the activity children use the National Curriculum based Key stage 1 & 2 lesson plans and group activity worksheets provided, to learn about science and nature as well as the work of Marie Curie Cancer Care
As part of the fundraising activity each child is asked to take home a donation envelope to help raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Our girls raised the fantastic sum of £543.10p which will go towards helping Marie Curie Nurses provide specialist nursing care and emotional support to patients and families at the end of their lives. The care they provide is totally free to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses who want to be cared for at home. We would like to thank parents for their wonderful support in this very worthwhile cause.
