School Fees
The Examination Fee is £30.
BOND/SECURITY DEPOSIT
A Bond of £500 is payable to the school prior to a pupil’s entry. As stated in the Contract this Bond/Security Deposit, of which £400 is returnable (subject to all other debts being settled) when you daughter leaves the school. The remaining £100 will be retained for Registration and Administration charges.
PAYMENT OF FEES
The school fees from September 2010 are as follows:
PREPARATORY DEPT. YEARS 3-6 £2,142.00 PER TERM
SENIOR SCHOOL YEARS 7-13 £2,833.00 PER TERM
Fees are reviewed annually. They include tuition, the use of text and library books, stationery and scientific materials and use of games facilities.
Fees charged by external Examination Boards are added to the fee account in the relevant years.
Available extras not included in School Fees are tuition in instrumental music, Field Trips and other excursions.
School fees are paid termly in advance. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Park School for Girls’. Any questions relating to the payment of fees should be addressed to the Bursar.
NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL
A term’s notice of withdrawal of a pupil from the School must be given in writing to the headmistress and an acknowledgement received from the School, or a term’s fee in lieu is payable.
The situation is different when a child moves from the Preparatory Department to the Grammar School. Notice of leaving must be received by the date stipulated when results of the Entrance Examination into the Grammar School are published. This will be a minimum of 14 days after notification of results.
ADDITIONAL COSTS NOT INCLUDED IN SCHOOL FEES
SCHOOL TRIPS/FIELD STUDY COURSES
From time to time throughout the academic year, trips and courses, which will benefit the girls educationally are arranged. Where the course is part of a GCSE or ‘A’ level syllabus, attendance is compulsory. The payment for any school trip is borne by the parents.
EXAMINATION FEES
Parents are responsible for the payment of fees for any public examinations taken by their daughters.
INDIVIDUAL TUITION IN A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
Tuition is available in piano, violin and woodwind instruments. Lessons are given on an individual basis weekly, during term time. They are scheduled on a rota basis during the school day. Parents whose daughters avail of this tuition are billed on a separate basis to school fees.

BURSARIES
Each year there is one Bursary available in the Senior School and one available in the Preparatory School. A student showing outstanding academic potential will be offered the opportunity to apply for this bursary. The sum awarded is directly related to parental income.
ENDEAVOUR AWARD
There is ONE award which may be offered annually to an internal Year 6 pupil, whose academic performance is deemed distinguished and who has taken an active part in school activities during her time in our Preparatory Department. This award is normally equivalent to a full year’s tuition fees. However, if it is deemed appropriate, it may be for a lesser amount or the award may be shared between 2 of our Preparatory pupils.
