Introduction from the Headmistress

Dear Parents

Our aim is to provide a full educational programme leading to recognised external examinations, at the ages of 16 and 18 years.

The programme is suited to the ages, abilities and aptitudes of the pupils but is mainly academic in content.  An above average pupil-teacher ratio permits us to run small classes, allowing more attention to be given to helping pupils individually.

In addition, the staff and I stress the development of each child as a whole person.  We expect every girl to strive for self-confidence in her ability to use her talents to the full and to respect individuality.  She is encouraged to make decisions and to accept responsibility for her own actions.  The poise that comes from good manners and correct speech, we consider to be highly important.  Honesty, reliability, courtesy and consideration for others are prime factors in the educative system.
